Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - My Parents Fought… Is This Why I’m Still Single?

Q:  My parents fought a lot when I was younger and I feel as if that is the reason why I am 25 and have never been in a relationship. How can I get past this hangup? A: My love, first we need to bring notice that we are reacting to the past, letting it influence the present, which will have an effect on the future. You are factually accurate but we need to heal the past, forgive your parents, learn from it, and then you can move on and create what you want. Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - I have custody of my 3 kids (and no more action!)

Question: I am 59 years old, I am a man, I have custody of my three teenage kids. When I had the place to myself, women were everywhere, but now – they just lose interest. Or maybe it’s me… Answer: This is an awesome question! Of course, when you are not in dad mode, you are in hunk mode, stud mode, sexual guy mode, all the time in the world mode – of course, you are going to have more women around. You’ve got the time, the energy, the money – the whole thing. It makes sense. So now that you’ve got kids, and it sounds like full-time, now you are dad mode all the time. It is really no different than a mom that loses her mojo, you’re a dad that has lost his mojo. Again you are in dad mode, provider mode. He is making lunches and dropping kids off and navigating crap that goes on. You are giving all your love, your attention, your patience, your playfulness – you are giving everything to your kids so there’s not much left over for you and you’re not in that noble badass sexual energy

This is a warning… Thinking about how to start writing a book, but aren’t sure where to start? DO NOT attempt to do it until you have answered all of the questions on this checklist. One of the reasons that so many people never finish their book is because they did not properly plan it out. Think about it… By planning out your book properly BEFORE you start it can save you time, money, effort and prevent you from hitting a wall after writing your first 3 pages. If you are really, really really serious about starting to write a book, you need to read this blog. By taking the ten minutes to read this, it will save you hours of frustrations from poor planning. If you want, just skip down to the checklist at the end and print it out or keep reading for all of the details in the fine print. Here is your 5 step checklist on how to start a book. 1. Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - Speaking The Truth – Effects of An Affair

My love for coaching has been an ignited passion shared by men and women for well over 17 years. The one truth is that I don’t coach friends – ever. I just don’t believe unsolicited advice works. Have there been exceptions…yes. A close friend shared a truth with me – every time she attempted to communicate with her husband about their affair – a huge fight ensued. My “unsolicited advice” – write him a poem… What she wrote took my breath away. It’s filled with a lot of anger. I’d say it’s even bordering on emasculation, which I’m totally against. And yet here’s the wild thing. It worked. To see my full response, check out the full article on The Good Men Project, right  HERE . Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - How can I take care of my child and be intimate with my husband?

Question: My husband and I are the proud parents of a beautiful little girl. She is my world. I don’t know what I would do without her. I can’t seem to do anything without thinking about her, worrying about her, and wanting to make sure she is ok. I am consumed by her. I know that I can’t seem to do anything about it, which is starting to cause problems in the intimacy department. I don’t want to have sex because I feel I won’t be able to get to her if she needs me. I might not hear her. I sleep in the nursery every night because I am so worried about her. My husband is trying to be understanding but I know that his patience is wearing thin. Answer: Wow! To ask me this question is quite the person to ask. Yes, you are right – this isn’t working. Your worrying isn’t love – it’s worry, it’s fear – not love. We have two choices – fear or love. I also know the love of a child. I know that they are everything. You created them in your body, they are the most precious thing to you ever. Y

Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - Menopause and Libido

Coach Allana Pratt was asked: Do you think that experiencing menopause may be playing a huge role in my low libido? Glorious friend, yes, hormonal us always play a huge role in our energy and libido. I am not a Doctor, yet in my experience, menopause is a time where many symptoms can arise such as depression, vaginal dryness, lack of libido or trouble sleeping which leads to exhaustion, crankiness, etc. My first question would be to ask if there are other factors that might be contributing, an elephant in the living room you’re not facing with your partner? Are there any issues you’ve been avoiding for when we press down feelings, we can often stuck our energetic flow of life, draining our vitality, youthfulness and libido. I find that menopause can be a time for many of my clients to come more alive than ever, diving into their callings big time, not giving a shit what people think about them, and be even more alive in the bedroom. Sometimes they have the courage to be who they’ve n

Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - My wife of almost 14 years has passed away

You asked Coach Allana Pratt: My wife of almost 14 years as of September 23, 2014 had passed away. Is it common for a widower to feel like he can never or ever will be able to touch, kiss or make love to another woman like he did to his passed love? Because that is we’re I’m at with it all. I can’t see myself doing the things I did with my wife to any other woman. It’s like I have to be a whole new man and learn from the beginning again and I don’t want to change who I am. My sweet wonderful amazing friend. Your love ran deep. You lived your totality with her, yes? I believe you won’t ever touch, kiss or make love to another woman the way you did to your wife. How could you? This was something unique and special that just the two of you shared. Who she was brought out a special part of you that only she did…and that’s beautiful amazing and complete. Now you are in the void… the middle ground, the healing… the learning who you are without her. I can’t imagine how challenging this must
