The Role Your Subconscious Mind Plays in Your Everyday Life - Brian Tracy

The subconscious mind – something that has a huge effect on every action, but is constantly overlooked. Instead, the focus is often on our conscious mind, which contains the critical thought function of our brains. The subconscious is the powerful layer underneath. It encompasses the awareness of all things the conscious mind cannot recognize. Once the subconscious is tapped into, this remarkable part of the brain plays many different roles in your everyday life. The Memory Bank Your subconscious mind is like a huge memory bank. Its capacity is virtually unlimited. It permanently stores everything that ever happens to you. By the time you reach the age of 21, you’ve already permanently stored more than one hundred times the contents of the entire Encyclopedia Britannica . Under hypnosis, older people can often remember, with perfect clarity, events from fifty years before. Your unconscious memory is virtually perfect. It is your conscious recall that is suspect. Morgana - There Is Nothing Wrong With You

There is Nothing Wrong With You Morgana: Hi, this is Morgana, and what I appreciate about my little cactus bunch here is, they are really prickly. I mean, these are some sharp points. But, brought together, look at what beauty they create. And that’s kinda like life. So, those of you who joined me for my talk about my dad’s Alzheimer’s and my grandma and grandpa, who, like, I grew up so close to, who are really approaching end of life, and now my cat’s hiding in a closet, so I’m thinking she’s not feeling well, it was a really rough weekend. And I just found out that my dad may be moving across the country to an assisted care facility on the other fricking side of the country, which, in two weeks. I just found this out. So that’s a lot to process. Nevertheless, I’m feeling way better. And you helped me. I have not responded to a lot of your posts and emails, probably any of them. Or the phone calls. Like, I got some really powerful phone calls, too. And I just gotta say, oh, let m...

Morgana - Instant Change

We have been sold such a bill of goods with this idea that it takes, oh, I don’t know, 30 days to change a habit.   This is crazy! Like let’s say, for example, you struggle with traffic 40 minutes every day to get to work, and then you discover another route that would take half your drive time off, would cut your traffic time 20 minutes. How long do you think it would take you to change that habit?   Change can be quick and easy.   I don’t believe that habits are these Sisyphean-like, push the rock up the hill every day torture. No! When you find a better thing, then you change, like that. Change can be that easy. Another thing is, procrastination gets such a bum rap.   Honestly, my procrastinating days are some of my most productive days. You can find out exactly what I’m procrastinating on, because the thing that I used to procrastinate about, the thing that used to be scary, gets done.   Like when I was working on my book proposal...
