Are one of these mistakes holding you back from writing your book?

I want you to have all the confidence in the world so that you can write your book and become a bestselling author.

The truth is that many people want to write a book, but they are held back by self-doubt and the fear that they won’t be successful. Fortunately, there are many steps that you can take to ensure that you are successful. I want to show you a system that can help ensure this success.

Here are just a few things that becoming a published author can do for you:

  • Establish you as an expert in your field
  • Pave the way for other products and services you could offer to your clients
  • Provide you with a lifetime of income
  • Give you great conversation material at parties and gatherings
  • Give you the confidence to begin new journeys

My good friend Mike Koenigs has helped thousands of people publish books for years. He is a seven-time #1 Bestselling Author, “2009 Marketer of the Year” winner, serial entrepreneur, filmmaker, speaker and patented inventor. Mike Koenigs is the CEO, and Founder of “You.Everywhere.Now.” and creator of “Publish and Profit.” Mike’s products and services have simplified and automated marketing for over 35,000 small businesses, authors, experts, speakers, coaches and consultants in more than 60 countries.

When I think of business and sales success I think of Mike. I would recommend him to anyone looking to publish a book in order to elevate themselves and their business.

I’ve invited Mike to post on my blog because he truly believes anyone can publish a book, just as I do. He is giving away copies of his book Publish and Profit for free and wants to help you become a bestselling author.

The 3 Biggest Mistakes That Prevent People From Finishing Their Book- By Mike Koenigs

According to an article published in the New York Times, 81% of the United States population wants to write a book someday, or think they have a book inside them.

Don’t you?

According to a recent article in Forbes magazine, 600,000 to 1,000,000 books are published every year in the United States alone. Most of them sell fewer than 250 copies in total while others go on to sell millions.

Why?

The 3 Fatal Mistakes

After working with so many people, we’ve found that most failed authors make three fatal mistakes that prevent them from either starting or finishing their book.

And for the ones that do actually finish, here are the reasons why they aren’t successful at marketing, promotion, sales or getting results.

Mistake #1: Ernest Hemingway Excuse

The first mistake is the “Ernest Hemingway Excuse.”

That’s thinking you have to be a writer in order to be an author. Nothing could be further from the truth.

One of my favorite success stories is 9-year-old Abbey Richter, who wrote four bestselling books in only three months about rescue pets. She was featured in American Girl magazine and has been asked to speak at events and sign autographs.

Another is Andy Falco, a former K9 cop who left service after being injured on the job. He came to us on the verge of bankruptcy and foreclosure. He recently closed a $349,000 deal with the country of Bahrain… all because of a book!

They were not writers, but they both wrote bestselling books…

I “wrote” my first book by talking into my iPhone.

Mistake #2: Albert Einstein Assumption

Mistake number two is something we call the “Albert Einstein Assumption.”

That’s thinking you actually have to be an expert or even smart in order to be an author of a book. I barely graduated high school and never went to college.

Many of our clients and customers who are successful, profitable authors didn’t start out feeling confident or prepared either.

But they took a chance… and took action using a proven system…

Now, their books are giving them the influence, income, authority, community and autonomy they deserve.

Don’t you want the same thing?

Mistake #3: Warren Buffett BS

Mistake number three is conveniently named after the third wealthiest person in the world…

It’s called “Warren Buffett BS.”

That’s believing and thinking that you have to be rich or famous in order to be a successful published author.

It’s just not true —none of our published students began with a silver spoon in their mouth. Neither did I.

But they did have a system—a proven, tested, and refined five-step formula that will allow you to write, publish and profit from your books, even if you’re not a writer. And even though you don’t have to start out being famous, a book is one of the very best ways to become famous… especially on your topic.

SMART Goals 101: Goal Setting Examples, Templates, and Tips - Brian Tracy

I think you’ll agree with me when I say: We’ve all heard that SMART goals are important . But a lot of people are left with questions about them, for example: What exactly are they? How do we use them correctly? Are they really contributing to your success? Here’s the deal: When it comes to achieving success, one of the most important steps that you can take is setting good goals. It is also important to recognize, though, that not all goals are created equal. In this article, we’ll take a look at a special class of goals called SMART goals and how you can use them to heighten your chances of success. FREE SUCCESS TOOL: Brian Tracy’s 14-Step-Goal-Setting Guide What is a Goal? A goal can be any objective that you set for yourself and push yourself to achieve. Sometimes that goal may be small (like waking up an hour earlier than you normally do) and sometimes it may be larger (like earning a promotion). But here’s the kicker: While having goals of all kinds is almost

bosanchez - The Bias of Fathers

One day, I was at a Christmas party. And parents were forcing their small kids to sing, bribing them with lollipops to banana splits to doll houses to Boracay vacations. One father — a friend of mine whose name I won’t divulge as it would be hazardous to my health — brought his little five-year-old daughter to the front. Because he even had a Minus One prepared, we thought, “She must really be a good singer.” So everyone clapped their hands and cheered as the music started. Then the five-year-old began to sing. Or at least made some kind of sharp noise.  But she didn’t get one key right. The cute little girl was absolutely tone deaf. From beginning to end, she sounded so awful, the experience was similar to having an endoscopy without the anesthesia. But the father was right beside me, still taking photos, still smiling from ear to ear, his eyes glued to his little daughter. He looked at me and smiled, “She may not sound right, but can you see how lovely she sways her hips?” Th
