Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - He’s Getting a Divorce. Date Him or Run for It?

Q: Allana, I’m 54, divorced, and finally re-entering the dating scene. I recently met a nice man who is currently going through a divorce. Having survived my own divorce, I know what he is experiencing and don’t want to be his rebound or reminder of one of the worst times in his life. I know I am being negative and it could be just the opposite but should I still date him or walk away?

Answer: This is such a sensational question! I love it! Ok, let’s look at this from a few angles and break it down a little. First, you shouldn’t be dating while getting a divorce. This is a time of grieving, reflection, healing, and growing – not a time of avoidance.
