JJ Ramberg is the host of MSNBC’s “Your Business”, the only TV show dedicated to issues affecting small business owners. She’s also the author of the recent bestseller It’s Your Business: 183 Essential Tips that Will Transform Your Small Business.
And, she’s a passionate entrepreneur. You’ll hear all about the company she co-founded with her brother, on this episode of Glambition Radio.
JJ comes from a long line of successful entrepreneurs. Both of her grandfathers, her mom, her dad, and her brother are all entrepreneurs! I love the story she tells about her mother… a stay-at-home mom with no business experience, who launched her first company when she was in her late 40’s.
The entrepreneurial venture JJ founded with her brother, GoodSearch.com, is a socially responsible company that turns your everyday actions into a way to give back. Every time you do a search, money goes to your favorite cause. JJ and her brother also created GoodShop.com… so every time you shop, a percentage of what you spend goes back to your favorite cause.
They had about 15 million people use the sites last year, and so far, $11 million has been donated to charities and schools!
JJ’s experience covering Hurricane Katrina for CNN is what inspired her to start the company. You’ll have to hear her explain it on the show. She’s such an inspiration.
JJ’s also a busy mom with three kids, so we talked a lot about balancing work and family. You’re going to love this gal. She walks the walk and is so relatable.
Plus, she’s got some excellent advice for entrepreneurs trying to grow their businesses. So head over to iTunes now to listen to this episode of Glambition Radio (or download for later).
Love and success,
