If you want to be successful, you need to learn to see a vision and plan accordingly. Proverbs says, Plan carefully and you will have plenty; if you act too quickly, you will never have enough. (Proverbs 21:5 GNT)
Successful people plan ahead for the coming winter. Proverbs says, Lazy people should learn a lesson from the way ants live. They have no leader, chief, or ruler, but they store up their food during the summer, getting ready for winter. (Proverbs 6:6-8 GNT)
Big Question: How Long-Term is your thinking?
The longer-term your thinking is, the more successful you are.
When I was serving in the slums, I noticed that people think only for the day. A few think of tomorrow, perhaps next week—but that’s about it. They can’t think anything longer than that. The poorest of the poor think of where to get food for the day.
But when I talk to very successful people, they’re always thinking 5 years from now, 10 years from now, even 20 years from now.
A Harvard sociologist, Dr. Edward Banfield, confirmed this fact. He dedicated his life to study why some people succeed and others do not. When he did his research, he expected that race, gender, family background, and education were what made people successful, but he found out that they weren’t predictors of success.
What was his biggest discovery? That the single most accurate predictor of success was having what he called a “longtime perspective”.
Note, however, that it’s not just the ability to think into the future— but how that kind of thinking impacts your actions NOW that makes you successful.
Here’s the key: Success is the ability to make sacrifices now for a future reality.
May your dreams come true,

P.S. I’d like to personally invite you to a life-changing seminar spearheaded by a good friend of mine. It’s called the Entrepreneurs Workshop, and it has one goal: To help you start your business in 7 to 14 days.
It’s a heavy promise, but so many people have already attended this workshop and succeeded.
