How to Get the Most Out of Your 14-Step Goal-Setting Guide   - Brian Tracy

Now that you have your 14-Step Goal-Setting Guide it’s time to put it to good use. The simple act of setting goals puts you in the top 10% of all people. Think about how much you can do if you accomplish all of the goals that you set for yourself. The 14-Step Goal-Setting Guide contains all of the steps that you need to set your goals and work toward achieving them. In this post, I’ve outlined some of the most important parts of goal-setting, so that you can truly take advantage of the massive value contained in the guide. Write Your Goals Down To make the most of the 14-Step Goal-Setting Guide , you first need to get into the habit of writing your goals down on paper. Writing your goals down will help you keep track of them, but the importance of this step goes far beyond memory purposes. Physically writing down your goals on a piece of paper activates your subconscious mind in a way that will not only help you remember your goals but also help you prioritize them and highlight

Eva Jannotta - Vicky Tsai, Founder + CEO of Tatcha — Glambition Radio Episode 178 with Ali Brown

The founder of skin care brand Tatcha (which I am currently obsessed with) reveals the behind-the-scenes story of how she built her global luxury beauty company, recently acquired for a rumored $500 million , today on GlambitionRadio.com . It started in 2009, when Vicky Tsai was desperately searching for products that didn’t aggravate her skin. She found answers in an unexpected place: a 200-year-old Japanese beauty manuscript detailing the generations-old skin care practices embraced by geisha . Amazed by her healed skin, Vicky hired scientists and researchers so more people could experience these products (I was sold the first time I tried a Tatcha mask — I share that story in the episode). Tatcha’s superfood-based skin care is so nourishing and effective, the company quickly became one of the fastest growing in the US. On #GlambitionRadio , Vicky shares the story of meeting the geisha who inspired her skin care collection, and the risks she took to start her company. We

Morgana - Coming back to life

Life happens. I’m writing today because I see so many people are going through dramatic life events. A lot of my friends have joined me in the “dead dad club” this year, or suffered comparable losses. Coping skills and positive thinking are awesome and helpful, and yet I really think we need to make some space to include the reality of grief and challenge as sacred and inevitable parts of our journey. For that reason I’m going to be transparent about my own process…     The first part of this year was brutal. It was characterized by huge losses and letting go.   Letting go of a life time of possessions my father loved, that reminded me of him. Too many of his things ended up in dumpsters when we couldn’t sell or even give away his prized antiques. Ouch.   Letting go of Dad’s house. I so wanted to fix it up–it felt to me like it would be fixing up my father’s body–but I respected my stepmother’s desire to sell the house and have funds handy in case we needed extra cash for m

Eva Jannotta - When Shonda Rhimes came to AZ…

You know who Shonda Rhimes is, right? She achieved almost everything a TV producer could hope for during her long run at ABC. She evolved into not only one of the most prolific writer-producers in the business, but also a mogul, as the founder and head of her Shondaland production company. ABC filled its entire Thursday night lineup with her shows — from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ to ‘Scandal’ and ‘How to Get Away With Murder’. But there’s something I wanted to share with you here , because you can probably relate… She shared during an interview that during this time of ultimate success, she was also getting… restless . It was time for something new. And a 9-figure offer from Netflix including open creative reign was the perfect place to jump. Her problem, however? She was now staring at a blank screen , expected to better her best. She admitted she felt nearly out of ideas. So — here’s the part I love! — she came to… Arizona . It was HERE she chose to camp out for awhile, to get

admin - Jennifer Vaughan Maanavi, CEO + Co-Founder of Physique 57 — Glambition Radio Episode 177 with Ali Brown

Physique 57 co-founder Jennifer Vaughan Maanavi loved taking dance-inspired barre classes in New York City. The elegant, sophisticated movement suited her in a way the gym never did. So when the studio she loved suddenly closed, she knew someone had to keep this method alive . And she thought… ‘it might as well be me’. Drawing on her MBA, Jennifer put together a business plan and recruited Tanya Becker, a star barre instructor . Within 20 minutes of their first meeting in 2006, Jennifer and Tanya realized they had the same vision: ‘to bring this method to women around the world’. Thirteen years later, Physique 57 is a global luxury fitness brand with studios spanning across 5 countries (and more to come), from the US to India and Saudi Arabia. Today on GlambitionRadio.com , Jennifer reveals how they built their renowned fitness company ( before the days of social media and the boutique fitness trend), counting women like Sarah Jessica Parker and Kelly Ripa among their cli

Morgana - Thinking about getting a certification?

I totally understand that people will post provocative statements on social media to get engagements or to make a case for their services. And every now and then I see something that hits me as particularly manipulative and not serving integrity. (I am such a compulsive stickler for integrity!) Yesterday I saw a statement that really rubbed me the wrong way. The poster argued that coaches (or fill in the blank for ANY service provider) only get certified to get clients, and you don’t need to get coaching certification to get clients. As a matter of fact you do NOT need to get certified to get clients. You don’t even need to be any good at what you do to get clients. A skilled liar can get all the clients in the world. I know this because I’ve hired expensive “coaches” who did not even try to deliver on their promises. They were sales people, not coaches. That nonsense hurts the whole industry. Here’s my response to the question of training and certification (you can apply this t

admin - Denise Duffield-Thomas, Money Mindset Mentor — Glambition Radio Episode 176 with Ali Brown

You CAN build a multi-million dollar business… simply . And Denise Duffield-Thomas has done it . Her powerful, lucrative ‘ Money Bootcamp ’ program made her a millionaire by age 35… without a huge team, mind-numbing funnels, or layers of unnecessary complexity. And today, her business gives her plenty of ‘unbusy’ time with her husband and their three young children. On GlambitionRadio.com , Denise reveals how she built her seven-figure business (serving over 6,000 clients), and how she discovered her simple, six-word business model — along with some mistakes and detours she made along the way. Denise has attended several of my events over the years, and I’ve always admired that she does it her way . This is the model that women entrepreneurs are pioneering: creating businesses that let us enjoy our families while we make the world-changing impact we are here to make. In this candid episode of #GlambitionRadio, we also discuss: *The guilt she felt about earning more tha

6 Reasons Setting Goals are Important - Brian Tracy

One of the most common questions I am asked on a regular basis is “What is the importance of goal setting?” or “Is it really necessary to set goals?” . I can personally attest to its importance in my own professional life, and I simply cannot overstate the fact that it always has been and remains one of the first steps you will take in your journey toward finding your true calling and unparalleled success. To quote another expert on the subject, philanthropist, and author Tony Robbins, “Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.” I like that, don’t you? I think it explains the importance extremely well, but to delve deeper into the topic and further explain the reason why I personally believe goal setting to be of paramount importance when attempting to achieve success . Here are six reasons why setting goals are important. 1. Goals Give You Focus Without a goal, your efforts can become disjointed and often confusing. For example, a goal takes t

Eva Jannotta - ‘The Myopic Business Epidemic’ — Glambition Radio Episode 175 with Ali Brown

I’m doing a bit of a RANT along with some educated observations on this solo episode of #GlambitionRadio, and the subject is the epidemic of *myopic* business owners. ‘Myopic’ basically means being nearsighted, lacking foresight, or lacking insight. Especially within the current online madness, I still see too much ‘following the leader’ and not enough critical thinking. In many cases I’m seeing a lack of even ‘common sense’ thinking. I see entrepreneurs who consider themselves ‘innovative’ locked into only improving the models that have worked in the past. They don’t even want to test new methods. And when problems arise, they simply work the model harder. It’s akin to digging a deeper and deeper hole they can’t emerge from. (This is especially evident with those who have simply learned one model of selling something online – for example, the Facebook ads to a free call and then enrolling prospects into some type of service or program. On the show I discuss how yes, this formula w
