How to Get the Most Out of Your 14-Step Goal-Setting Guide   - Brian Tracy

goal setting guide

Now that you have your 14-Step Goal-Setting Guide it’s time to put it to good use. The simple act of setting goals puts you in the top 10% of all people. Think about how much you can do if you accomplish all of the goals that you set for yourself.

The 14-Step Goal-Setting Guide contains all of the steps that you need to set your goals and work toward achieving them.

In this post, I’ve outlined some of the most important parts of goal-setting, so that you can truly take advantage of the massive value contained in the guide.

Write Your Goals Down

To make the most of the14-Step Goal-Setting Guide, you first need to get into the habit of writing your goals down on paper.

Writing your goals down will help you keep track of them, but the importance of this step goes far beyond memory purposes.

Physically writing down your goals on a piece of paper activates your subconscious mind in a way that will not only help you remember your goals but also help you prioritize them and highlight their importance in your subconscious.

It’s important to understand that taking notes on a laptop or your phone won’t always have these same benefits, so stick to paper and ink when writing down your goals.

Don’t get Overwhelmed Trying to Accomplish all Your Goals at Once

Once you’ve written down all of your goals, the full list can oftentimes seem overwhelming. If you try to accomplish all of these goals at once, then failure and discouragement are all that you are likely to achieve.

Instead of overwhelming yourself trying to accomplish all of your goals at once, pick the most important goal from your list, set a date that you would like to achieve it by, and put your full focus on that single goal.

Once you’ve completed the first goal on your list you can move onto the next and then the next after that.

Before long, your list of goals won’t seem so overwhelming at all.

If you’re taking this seriously, you know that all success comes from goal-setting, but you might still be having trouble accomplishing your first goal. Take a look at my Goals Quickstart Masterclass.

Visualize Your Goals as if they are Already Achieved

Visualizing your goals can be a powerful motivator, and the best way to visualize goals is to visualize them as if they have already been achieved.

Visualizing your goals as if they are already achieved allows you to envision what your life will look like after your goals have been accomplished.

If you’ve set goals that are valuable and meaningful to your life, this visualization exercise can be very motivating and inspiring.

Make Goal-Setting a Habit

Goal-setting – and everything that goes along with it such as writing your goals down visualizing your goals, and working towards achieving them – is something that you need to make a daily habit.

If you are able to set goals and work toward them each and every day, you’ll accomplish more in a matter of months than you’ve accomplished in years.

Once you are able to make goal-setting a habit and a natural part of your daily routine, you are likely to find that reaching even your most lofty goals is a lot more achievable than you have ever imagined.

This 14-Step Goal-Setting Guide is just the start of your goal-setting journey. It’s one of several valuable resources that will help you become unstoppable in achieving your goals.

Goals can change your life so quickly and so dramatically, there’s no better time to take action than right now. If you’re serious about goal-setting and want to get your first goal conquered as fast as possible then don’t miss out on my “Goals Quickstart Masterclass”.

Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - Stuck In The Middle

Question: I don’t want to be in the middle of this! My boyfriend’s mother is sick and he wants to move back home to be closer to her. His mother HATES me and he wants me to go with him. The doctor’s are saying the outlook is not positive and I want him to be there for his mother but I don’t think I am a big enough person to put our issues aside to endure her. Am I horrible? Answer: Yes, you are a horrible horrible person and you’re going to hell. KIDDING!!!!!! You are magnificent and courageous and willing to tell the truth… and I find that inspiring I think it’s very important for people to be given the option to spend time with their parents as they die because sometimes people die suddenly and you never get a chance to say something; yet, your boyfriend will be able to feel good about the time, effort, and presence he gives her. And it’s also very important for you not to stop living or choose something that’s not a contribution for you and sacrifice yourself for another only t...

Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - Boyfriend Was Rude To Disabled Brother

Q: For about a year, I have been dating (what I thought) was a wonderful man.  I am very protective of my disabled brother so I am hesitant to introduce men in my life to him.  This guy was different so I wanted him to understand that if he was going to be a part of my life, he was going to be a part of my brother’s as well. The way he acted towards him was atrocious! He ignored him and if my brother made contact, he jumped as if my brother’s disability would rub off on him!  I thought he was the one but now I am not sure.  Thoughts? A: I’m so sorry love.  This experience must trouble your heart in two ways – how he treated your brother and disappointment for believing he was the one.  While I do not condone his behavior, I must say that people have a tendency to act unpredictable and/or unkind when they are around people who are different from them.  Through education and practice, people can change.  Would you be open to communicating with yo...
