Allana - Election Time Break ups: Heated Political Debates Under One Roof

It’s honestly wild to not be able to vote in my country because I’m not a resident and not in America because I’m not a citizen. Yet I vote with speaking, acting and generating what’s true for me whenever I choose to.

So to imagine a household with opposing views on the election under one roof while navigating the intense emotions and energy of the nation… hats off to you!

And yet it comes down to what every interaction comes down to… are we going to let another’s opinion of us, of life, of politics, of anything determine who you are? How you are? How you be?

I sure used to, especially when I was seeking their approval for my very existence… then a disagreement of politics or the color of my hair would set me off. Yet now that I’ve done core intimacy work with myself, other’s opinions are just that, opinions. I’m amazing even when people break their word I don’t get as enraged for I now have the courage to get clearer and clearer on the deal upfront instead of hiding from the risk of rejection, then creating the experience of betrayal for myself… when all along I had my head in the sand!

Wherever you have created an identity, as a Democrat, Republican, American, Canadian, even as a woman, man… on some level it blocks out or separates you from an entire world of possibility. Now I’m not saying don’t vote. VOTE! Be a stand for what is true for you! Yet in terms of any arguments under one roof about disagreements in views… recognize you’re choosing separation, which is creating the fight. Choose no point of view, just listen, allow and BE. Yup, takes practice, but totally possible…

Deliciously, Allana

Allana Pratt, Intimacy Expert - My boyfriend’s messaging strange women

Question: Do you have any idea why a man would start instant messaging strange woman after being in a five year relationship. Said he was “stupid” and wasn’t physical with anybody. I guess you can say I have trust issues. Answers: Ouch! I am so sorry. Do I have any idea why? Here is what I have learned, first off I am really sorry because that really hurts. If you have trust issues especially, that would hurt and sting even more. So first something about trust and then something about men. Trust: When we trust, it’s not that we trust someone to be perfect. That sets us up for failure because no one is perfect and you can’t control anybody. That is insanity if we try to control another and put all of our power – making sure they be a certain way to so that we are safe. Instead, find that safety and trust inside you. That safety being that capacity to discern and know that come what may, you’ve got your own back – you can take care of yourself. It takes a lot of pressure off of other...
